Meet Chef C

Welcome! I’m Chef Cynthia Monroe, but you can call me Chef C. I am an advocate for local and sustainable food, and I am thrilled to share my culinary expertise with you. If you’re a farmer or business owner looking to highlight your products, I’m here to help bring your offerings to the forefront of the culinary scene.

Having graduated from the Inland Northwest Culinary Academy in 2014 and earning the title of Certified Executive Chef, I bring a wealth of culinary knowledge and skills to the table. As the President of our local American Culinary Federation Chapter, I have established myself as a leader in the industry.


LocaVore Passion

One of my passions is working directly with farmers to showcase their amazing products. Whether it’s fragrant mushrooms, hearty lentils, or any other locally grown fare, I believe in the power of highlighting the incredible flavors that can be found in our own backyard. I take pride in partnering with farmers and businesses to create unique and memorable culinary experiences that highlight their products as well as the hard work and dedication that goes into their production.


Community Chef

Through my farmer’s market appearances, library demonstrations, and other community events, I bring people together to experience and appreciate the bounty that local growers have to offer. By utilizing sustainable and low-waste practices, I ensure that the flavors take center stage while minimizing our ecological footprint.

We are a little everywhere, all the time. From demos at libraries and farmer’s markets to private catering for small special occasions and interactive cooking demos, there’s always a way to see what we’re up to. Our Vision

LocaVore’s vision is to create a network of farmers, chefs, restaurants, and everyday customers to bring our food supply system back to the local community. We want to educate consumers on where their food comes from, introduce them to the farmers that grew it, and provide a platform for local chefs show people how to reduce food waste and cook sustainably.

We believe that food is a powerful force for good. We use food to build relationships, educate people about where their food comes from, and promote a more sustainable food system. We do this through food demonstrations, community dinners, and local food events. LocaVore is bringing people together through food, cooking, and education.
